Banksia is a modern Australian restaurant in Caulfield, where bold flavours meet refined cooking and relaxed hospitality. It’s led by chef Nishant Arora, who brings fire, finesse, and a deep love for ingredients to every dish - whether it’s a dry-aged rib eye kissed by smoke or a barley and celeriac risotto layered with richness.
The name is inspired by the native Banksia flower—resilient, unmistakably local, and quietly beautiful. That same spirit infuses both the space and the menu, where thoughtfully crafted dishes balance creativity and comfort, showcasing bold flavors, refined technique, and subtle nods to nostalgia.
Everything here is made to feel generous and grounded, with just the right touch of flair. Whether you’re dropping in for a light and quick lunch, or sitting down for mains, sides and something sweet, Banksia is a place to unwind, share, and eat well.
We have an a la carte menu, lunch express menu and a kids menu.
Unfortunately we are still waiting for our liquor license to be approved, so we are not currently serving alcohol.

If you have specific dietary requirements, please know you are not alone—approximately one-third of our guests have similar needs. To date, we have been able to accommodate most requests.
