HALAL DINING AT BANKSIA

THE CORNERSTONE OF OUR HALAL DINING IS SHER WAGYU

Sher Wagyu, in Ballan Victoria, were the first commercial farm to bring Wagyu to Australia in the 90s. Today, they are still amongst the best producers of top quality beef. For the past 6 months, we have been lucky to supply their beef. They are Halal Accredited as can seen on their website; https://sherwagyu.com.au/processing/

The suppliers of our other meats do change from time to time, so if you want our lamb or chicken, it is often Halal certified, but please do check with us on the night.

How we do our best to ensure halal inside the restaurant.

  1. No alcohol, or alcohol free options. Where a sauce did use wine, there is always another option that we have. We are conscious of what contains alcohol and make sure that it doesn’t get into things it should not.

  2. No pork in the restaurant. We just don’t have any, so there isn’t the risk of cross contamination.

  3. We make sure to check the halal certificates of our suppliers

DINNER SPREAD

Our dinner concept is the $40 each Spread.

Mains are $40, with some extra to cover the extra costs of steaks.

We’ll throw in sides to fill the table.

It includes a top marbled Rump MS 8-9 from Sher Farm in Victoria, Roast Veggies, Risotto, Lamb, Barramundi, Chicken, Brisket. Check our sample menu to see that they are all listed as Gluten Free - not as afterthoughts either.

We normally bring between 2- 3 sides, and try to change things up pretty regularly based on seasonal produce, or your personal preference.

15 September update: As of today, we have 2 gluten contaminants in our kitchen. Pasta for kids & flour for our bread. That’s it. We treat them very carefully to ensure they don’t enter any other dishes.
